Nell Holcomb will be holding a Spelling Bee & a GeoBee      

Announcing the Nell Holcomb School Spelling Bee!

    As part of our goal to promote high standards of spelling throughout the school, students in grades 3rd - 8th will compete for the coveted title of NHS Spelling Champions.

All students in Grades 3rd-8th are encouraged to participate.

The Spelling Bee will run as follows:

• Classroom Bees: Each class will be given a list of 100 words taken from the Scripps National Spelling Bee word list. Classroom Spelling Bees will be held February 4th-February 7th.

• School Spelling Bee: The top 2 spellers in each class will compete in the School-wide Spelling Bee on Friday, February 8th. The winner of the School Spelling Bee will be eligible to participate in the Regional Spelling Bee in Poplar Bluff on March 2nd.

    Start studying the spelling words! Let your teacher or Miss Krieger know when you are ready for the next grades’ spelling lists. Good Luck!!
