Initial Letter Introducing SchoolMessenger - Sent Home Early December
Dear Parents,
Nell Holcomb is pleased that we have a call, email, and texting notification service. We have struggled in the past with finding the perfect fit for our district and were happy with the one that we currently have. HOWEVER, SchoolReach has now been acquired by SchoolMessenger. SchoolMessenger has enhanced features with a more robust delivery network and this conversion will only minimally impact our parents.
As a default right now, SchoolMessenger is pulling information from our online Student Information System. It is crucial that anytime a phone number, address, and/or email is changed, that we are notified of the changes. The email that is registered with the school for the ParentPortal is the email that SchoolMessenger will email. The primary parent and spouse along with the nonresident’s phone number listed in our automated student information database is the number that we will call for regular messages. There is an “opt-in” feature for texting that we will send a text message to your phone but you have to reply to it in order for the texting service to work on your phone.
